Mayte Pérez Olmeda (Madrid, 1972) es doctora en Biología por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) (2003) y Científico Titular del Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) (2008). Actualmente es responsable del Laboratorio de Serología del Centro Nacional de Microbiología del ISCIII y de la Calidad del Laboratorio y del proceso de acreditación de ensayos (ENAC).
En su experiencia investigadora cuenta con el reconocimiento de 3 sexenios y 4 quinquenios de investigación.
Su actividad investigadora ha estado siempre dirigida al conocimiento de la patogénesis del VIH y en la coinfección del VIH con las hepatitis víricas (VHB y VHC). En los últimos años y desde su incorporación al Laboratorio de Serología compagina la Referencia e Investigación de diferentes patógenos relacionados con las enfermedades infecciosas y/o emergentes.
Es autora de más de 90 artículos, más de la mitad de ellos publicados en revistas del primer cuartil (68% D1) (H-index:24). Ha escrito un libro de divulgación científica sobre VIH “VIH La investigación contra la gran epidemia del siglo XX” y ha participado como ponente en diferentes congresos y reuniones científicas.
Es y ha sido Investigadora Principal y Colaborador Científico de numerosos Proyectos de Investigación nacionales e internacionales.
Actualmente forma parte del Comité Coordinador de Colaboraciones Científicas del estudio ENE-COVID, del Comité de Bioseguridad del ISCIII, del Comité de Seguridad y Salud del ISCIII y de la Comisión de Seguridad del ISCIII. Además, participa activamente en diferentes grupos de trabajo como el del Biobanco del ISCIII.
Ha participado y participa en diferentes comités y redes de investigación de:
a. Ámbito internacional:
• Punto operativo de contacto del ECDC en aspectos microbiológicos para Sarampión, Parotiditis, Rubeola, Varicela y tosferina.
• EURL IVD. Laboratorio validador de inmunoensayos frente a CMV y EBV.
b. Iniciativas de ámbito nacional.
• Red de investigación en Sida (RIS) investigadora y coordinadora de Work Packages (WPs).
• Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Enfermedades Infecciosas (CIBERINFEC), con participación en diferentes WPs.En la trayectoria profesional ha dirigido distintos grupos de trabajo tanto para investigación como para referencia. En los últimos años ha coordinado el trabajo serológico de los estudios de enorme relevancia como el estudio ENE-COVID, CombiVacs, RecueVacs y el ENE-COVID Senior. Así mismo, forma parte de diferentes grupos de trabajo para la elaboración de informes y documentos relacionados con la vigilancia de diferentes enfermedades infecciosas y/o emergentes:
• Grupo de Trabajo para el Plan de eliminación de sarampión y rubeola (Ministerio de Sanidad).
• Programas de vigilancia en Enfermedades Infecciosas como la rabia, tétanos, difteria, bordetella, micoplasma, sarampión, rubeola, parotiditis, citomegalovirus, herpes simple, varicela zóster, chlamydia, rickettsia conorii, legionella y Herpes 8 y enfermedades transmitidas por vector.
• Miembro del Focal Points MMR (ECDC).Ha participado activamente en la organización de congresos y reuniones.
Compagina su labor de investigación y referencia con la docencia. Desde el 2023 es directora del Máster en Microbiología aplicada a la Salud Pública e Investigación en Enfermedades Infecciosas (UAH/ISCIII) en el que también colabora como docente y coordinadora de materias desde el 2014. En este Máster ha sido tutora y miembro del tribunal de diferentes TFMs.
En esta línea docente también es miembro del Programa de Doctorado en Ciencias Biomédicas y Salud Pública de IMIENS-UNED UNED/ISCIII desde 2020.
Participa en eventos de divulgación científica como la semana de la ciencia en el ISCIII. -
Esther Calonge Errejón

Licenciada en Ciencias Biológicas y Doctora en Biología Molecular por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Investigadora en el campo de las enfermedades infecciosas y la patogénesis del VIH-1, desde la unidad de Inmunopatología del SIDA del Centro Nacional de Microbiología, centrando su actividad investigadora principalmente en estudios genéticos del VIH-1. Miembro científico de la plataforma Host Genetics en IP-lab.
Actualmente investigadora en el laboratorio de Serología Viral del CNM en el Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Facultativa especialista acreditada para la emisión de resultados diagnósticos. Desde que forma parte del laboratorio de Serología ha participado como miembro del grupo de trabajo en estudios de enorme relevancia como el estudio ENE-COVID, CombiVacs y el ENE-COVID Senior con el procesamiento de cerca de 100 mil muestras así como estudios de seroprevalencia en enfermedades infecciosas y emergentes. Responsable técnico de la validación de paneles de la OMS para diversas enfermedades infecciosas y de kits de diagnóstico para distintas empresas biotecnológicas. Tienen también formación especializada en calidad y acreditación según normas ISO.
Autora de numerosos artículos científicos de alto índice de impacto. Revisora en revistas de prestigio internacional y evaluadora en convocatorias de proyectos I+D para la FCSAI. Ha participado como científico investigador en numerosos proyectos de I+D en el campo de las enfermedades infecciosas financiados a través de convocatorias competitivas de entidades públicas y privadas

Tiene amplia experiencia en diversas técnicas de Serología, Biología molecular y celular, Microbiología y en la recepción de muestras y manejo de la base de datos. Lucía Barbero Herranz
Técnico de laboratorio
Titulada como Técnico Superior de Laboratorio Clínico y Biomédico (IES Renacimiento) y Técnico de animalario (UNED). Ha realizado prácticas en la Bioincubadora del Hospital de Fuenlabrada y posee formación, en análisis microbiológicos, Bioconjugados, Bioseguridad y prevención de RL, y personal sanitario ante la violencia de género. Actualmente tiene un contrato de Plan de Empleo Juvenil del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.

El Laboratorio de Serología tiene como principal objetivo la prestación de servicios a centros del Sistema Nacional de Salud, a través de la oferta en la cartera de servicios del Centro Nacional de Microbiología, en la realización de diagnóstico y referencia mediante la detección de anticuerpos, tanto para el diagnóstico primario como para actividades de referencia.
Para esto dispone de las metodologías serológicas adecuadas, gran parte de ellas acreditadas por ENAC de acuerdo con la norma ISO15189. Realiza estudios de validación de ensayos mediante convenios de colaboración con entidades privadas.
Participa en estudios de seroprevalencia, realizados mediante encomiendas de gestión con el Ministerio de Sanidad y con las autoridades de Salud Pública de diferentes comunidades autónomas.
Por otra parte, participa en proyectos de investigación en relación con las enfermedades infecciosas, en los últimos años sobre enfermedades neurológicas, sobre enfermedades emergentes y sobre los virus incluidos en la vacuna triple vírica.
